Registering for Courses

The Faculty of Engineering offers you a schedule of courses enabling you to successfully pursue a career in the field of engineering. First year students will enroll in a common general year of classes, while students who have entered a specific program follow a prescribed course load specific to their area of study. Carefully consult the Academic Calendar and any Department or Faculty registration materials prior to enrolling in courses.

If you are transferring into the Faculty of Engineering from another University of Alberta faculty or an approved post-secondary school, carefully consult Bear Tracks to see which classes you have been given credit for and how this will affect your program. If you are still unsure as to which courses to take, contact your Department or Faculty advisor for assistance.
