Happy New Years!

Posted at 11:28 PM, January 05, 2010 I feel a little but guilty, I haven’t posted in such a long time so I’m sorry. On a happier note there is nothing that will make you appreciate the Christmas break more than the first semester of engineering. This was, by far, the most stress free holiday that I’ve had in a while, and I’m sure most of the other 800 first years would agree. Though I did not get nearly as much sleep as I managed to claim during the term, what with all the friends, family, and Christmas cheer floating around, it was relaxing. One thing about the finals that I like better then high school diplomas was that they were held before Winter break. This is great since then the whole time you are celebrating the holidays your mind can go numb and you don’t have to worry about taking a heavily weighted test when you return. I feel sorry for all the seniors at my high school having to skip out on some of the fun because of studying. On the other hand, in high school you didn’t have to worry about and marks coming in for a good few months. Waiting on my grades to be posted on Bear Tracks was probably the worst thing about Christmas this year, not helped at all by the fact that my economics was not posted until just today! It’s okay though because it was an acceptable mark. This new semester looks pretty good. Here’s to hoping the second is as good as the first.
