Important Deadlines & Dates

You need to make sure to submit all documents and applications on time if you wish to be considered for admission into the Faculty of Engineering. The following is a list of important dates for the application process.

March 1

Application Deadline
Last day to submit your application for September Admission.

June 15 Post-Secondary Student Document Deadline
This is the last day for any student who has previously been enrolled in post-secondary level courses to submit all of their official documents and transcripts to the U of A.
August 1 High School Student Document Deadline
This is the last day for any student who is applying directly out of high school or has never taken any post-secondary level courses to submit all of their official documents and transcripts to the U of A.
August 31 Orientation 2015
Run by students for students, Orientation is your free introduction to campus and the Faculty of Engineering from a student perspective. Meet new friends, have fun and learn your way around campus.
September 1 First Day of Fall Classes
You've applied, registered in your courses, submitted your documents, paid your documents, and attended Orientation. You're now ready for the First Day of Classes!
September 30 Tuition Due
Starting in July your tuition assessment for the upcoming year will appear in Bear Tracks. For information on how to pay your tuition please consult the U of A's Financial Services page.  

November 30

Fall 2015 Withdrawal Deadline
If you choose to drop a course prior to the Withdrawal Deadline you will be assessed a grade of "W" in the course. This is neither a positive nor negative grade and does not count towards our Grade Point Average.
