Environmental Engineering and Science


Since its inception in 1963, the Environmental Engineering and Science Program at the University of Alberta grew to be one of the largest and best equipped of its kind in Canada.

The Environmental Engineering and Science Program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain knowledge in the profession of environmental engineering, while receiving a strong background in the traditional areas of civil engineering at the same time.

Environmental engineers work closely with other professionals who manage a variety of industrial and municipal processes and facilities that are designed to protect public and environmental health and maintain environmental aesthetics.
