Engineering Wellness Week

It is essential to take care of yourself especially during high stress times. This semester’s wellness week, Nov 27-Dec 1, has a variety of activities to promote student wellness. Among other activities, students can relax with dogs, enjoy a paint night, play games, and do yoga, or students can attend a workshop to learn to manage anxious thoughts, or what foods will help them perform during exams. There is something for everyone!

November 27
Furry Friends
Relax with dogs (CAAWLS)
1 - 4 pm, Donadeo 8th floor

Join the Faculty Wellness team and Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society to relax with pets. Dogs will brighten your day and help you chill. These furry friends are trained animals, certified in pet-assisted therapy through CAAWLS.

Paint Night
Free paint workshop, limited space available (LiveWell)

Free paint night session, please register here. Please note that event space is limited. Unleash your creativity with fellow engineers as you are guided through a painting so that you come up with your own unique masterpiece at the end of the night. We provide everything you need. Targeting Anxious Thoughts

Free workshop, please register here. Find yourself dwelling on “what-ifs”? Worrying about the worst case scenario? How we talk to ourselves has a big impact on how anxious we feel. In this workshop you will learn how to address the mind’s responses to anxiety by identifying and challenging anxious thinking. Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend. Presented by Counselling & Clinical Services.
